Please note: Each candidate will be expected to attend seven of the ten practical days only. The 3a, 3b, 5a, 5b, 7a and 7b sessions will be split into two groups.

Aim

Our domestic FAW/UEFA B Licence course gives coaches the necessary skills and experience to work with players aged 12 and above. The ‘Welsh Way’ principles, as set-out in the FAW National Syllabus, are embedded into the course to provide a focus. The regional domestic course runs over six months and involves theory and online modules, which underpin practical elements.

About

The FAW/UEFA B Licence course is the first step onto the UEFA coaching ladder and is designed to develop game understanding and technical and tactical knowledge, via a combination of practical sessions, theory, distance and e-learning. Post course-time work is required, in addition to an on-course FAW/UEFA coaching assessment.

Outcomes

At level 3, coaches should feel confident, creative and enthused when taking sessions at their clubs. B Licence coaches should be students of the game and be comfortable adapting and applying their knowledge in various scenarios.

Pre-requisites

• Valid FAW C CERTIFICATE YOUTH & SENIOR or Level 2 equivalent

• Valid FAW FIRST AID IN FOOTBALL AWARD

• Valid FAW SAFEGUARDING AWARD

• Up to date COACHING / FOOTBALL CV

Discounted rate

To receive the discounted rate, candidates must meet one of the two below scenarios:

Scenario 1

• Coaching in Wales &

• FAW C Certificate holder

Scenario 2

• Born or coaching in Wales &

• Capped for Wales at u16, u17, u19, u21, u23 or Senior Level

All completed applications will be reviewed by the FAW Coach Education Admissions Panel following the application deadline of 10 July 2020.

All applicants successful or unsuccessful will be informed of the FAW Coach Education Admissions Panel decision by no later than 17 July 2020.

Please be advised, we are only authorised to accept 10% of coaches that hold qualifications with an alternative association.

Finally, only one application is permitted per application window. However, if we have spaces available at an alternative venue, these will be offered out accordingly.

No payment details will be requested until the admissions process has been completed.
